6MT owners with "GroundingGear," do really notice anything or just placebo?

I have been reading about several 5AT owners reporting "quicker shifts" and some people feeling no difference whatsoever.

I am skeptical but only because it's hard for me to understand how 8-10 ground wires can improve performance. I don't put anything on my car unless I know exactly how and what impact it will have on the overall performance of the car... positive vs. negative.

6MT owners who have installed the GroundingGear wires, do you REALLY notice anything or is it something you tell yourself that you feel because you just spend over $100 on some wires?

I really don't care about the engine bay being dressed up but if this ACTUALLY improves something, please explain.

Thanks,
Chris

I didn't really notice a difference, but I had a Crawford plenum and Crawford high-flow cats installed at the same time. I think the ground wires will help the performance of my high-end stereo system by helping to reduce noise when I totally replace the stereo system this summer. Plus, it looks really cool.

When I installed Gordee's grounding gear I noticed a big change in idle quality. It smoothed the idle out with no intermittent misses. I believe it also smoothed out high RPM performance, but how can one be sure? Overall, a performance mod worth doing. The grounding point to the ECU seemed to make the biggest difference. IMHO

I am still skeptical but I am going to try out the 6MT 8-wire Performance Kit and see for myself.

I don't blame you

I didn't believe it until I installed it and removed a different grounding point, each time, just to see if I could tell the difference. I could

I got the 10 wire kit for the 5AT... I gotta say the manumatic shifts were a bit less laggy... and for some (maybe just b/c of changing driving pattern?) I'm getting like 16mpg instead of 14

from my personal experience, i didn't notice any improvment in power...

what i did notice was that it smoothes out the idle and accel a bit thats about it... i don't regret getting one, but if i didnt already have one installed, i wouldnt bother spending $100 plus all the back pain from installing em
