HMM want to mod my 06 coupe but im thinking itll be a waste of money...
Im planning on buying a sport bike
wouldnt it be a better idea to use the money to buy a bike instead of mods?

what bikes look good but are cheap....

I am plannin ong getting a HKS HI-POWER TI dual exhuast..ikno itll cost a lot...

 

Depends on what are your goals if you modify the coupe.

CAI/exhaust for the sound? Sure go for it. For performance? I won't bother as they won't do very much. And since you mentioned getting a bike, it sounds like if you were to mod your coupe it would've been for acceleration performance. I did a bunch of NA mods on my old Z4. They helped a bit, but very little, I regretted bothering to mod the car in the first place. Either get a quicker car/bike, or save the money and leave the car stock. Or get a turbo/supercharger.

 

I agree with you. I am planning on getting a SP grill and maybe a lip iono... IMO id rather get a bike instead of a supercharger/turbo...because of GAS PRICES lol...there is no end to it!! and what u gonna do with 400+ hp car.. its not like ur gonna race it.. THERE are always cars that are faster than urs...

BTW..which bike looks best and is reliable for the cheapest and reasonable prices? honda, kawasaki, suzuki what?
I do want a louder engline sound though lol.. maybe get me some HKS hiti dual, plenum, grounding, and weapon R intake... itll be damn louder than stock rite?

Naw. Do audio mods for the car. It's the area that needs improvement the most.

Save the performance mods for the bike!

I like the yamaha R6 or GSX-R600 or 750. Those bikes are real performers but won't necessarily kill you.

 

Skip the mod for now and buy a bike! I'm kinda in the same boat and looked at the Honda CBR600RR .

But, I might do neither and just save it for a crib of my own....someday .

 

Forget the performance mods, and just go cosmetic. Start with wheels -- it's amazing the difference they can make.

 

IMO, just mod the car until it "feels" good... just don't bother modding it to be a beast - the option to get a bike or a project car is always there if you want speed...

 

I'd wait until your are bored with your coupe or it just doesn't 'seem to pick up like it used to'

then get some preformence mods.

 

LOL . . . Just continue to hang around here. Before you know it, you'll be installing stuff you never thought you would.

 

That all depends on how much $$$ you are going to spend, if you've ever ridden a street bike before, and how heavy you are. If you're light and new to riding get a 600cc, you will grow out of it if you really get into riding though, or if you are over 200lbs. If you are on a budget go for a Suzuki GSXR 600, they are so common, you can get them cheap and parts are everywhere. Spend a lot on your helmet and leathers and what-have-you, and spend some money on some track time to get used to the bike. Be ready to lay it down and have FUN!!!

get the bike! i have the black 06 coupe and a Raven (black) R1. I used to have a CBR 600rr but that got stolen. If your new to riding bikes definitely take the msf course. A lot of people suggest starting on a used 250cc bike which is a great idea. You won't spend a lot of cash, can use it on gear and track time. And it's a fun bike to learn on and you can concentrate better on technique rather than trying to have the bike do the work for you. But...you probably won't listen ( i know i didn't hehe). Just be level headed and respect it because it'll put you on your A** in no time if you don't.

Of course if you do know how to ride, then disregard the information and get a Yammie! hehe. R6's are looking good and with the way they were ran, they came close to putting down the same time's as some superbikes. Have fun!
