Anyone riding on 235/45/18 & 255/45/18?

Anyone put 235/45/18 & 255/45/18 on the stock 18" rims? I was hoping to go a little bigger in the stock rim without shrinking the aspect ratio....

You should do 235/40/18....and 255/40/18 in the rear. Your tire diameter will be smaller....you speedometer will be slightly off....the good news is you will accelerate quicker....and handle better.

I have gone to the extreme 235/35/18 & 265/35/18....way smaller diameter....but given the perfomance results.....I will never go back....ever!

Can you post pics of your car? I am wondering what the wheel gap looks like with that profile.

hahah...well with me in the car its fine...I'm 265 lbs....I would lower it but it would definately cause problems.....I'll take wheel well gap if it translates into beating 350z's and evo's.

Hey g35rcr, do you have pics of your old set up? (245x40 and 275x40) Did it look funny? "stuffed" or was it alright?

I posted Tire Calculator link on this forum a long time ago. As far as I remember, the size that comes closest to the OEM specs is 255/40/18 in the front and 265/40/18 in rear. I think you shouldn't have a problem fitting those on the OEM 18s.

Edit: Here is the link https://g35driver.com/forums/showthr...ght=calculator

Hey Thanks for the info everyone. g35rcr, if you find the pics that'd be awesome. Your input on it not bulging and looking good is key. I was fearing the "clown with oversized shoes" look!

No one makes a 255/25/19 or a 255/25/18. Are you sure about your size?

+1. Or I hear 245/40/18 works in front too.

I'm thinking about getting KDW2 in these sizes, but I don't want to lose handling due to sidewall flex b/c the sizes are to wide for the rim. That and I'm sick of Michelin.
