Very common. Just make sure your cap's on straight and tight. Any loss of pressure in the gas tank will throw a code.

That's normal. It's part of the emissions system (I think under ODB II), so it'll throw a CEL if "disabled" i.e. left loose.

Very common for OBDII. Loose cap is common. If you keep throwing the code then there's a leak in the EVAP. system of your fuel tank. If just installed a stereo then hopefully you didn't tap a screw into the gas tank. Very expensive mistake and will not be covered under warranty. Make sure you cap is tight when you refill. After they reset the code it will take 2 full cycles for the CEL to come back on again if the system detects a leak. Hopefully it's just the gas cap. But the EVAP system for OBDII is a pain sometime to isloate and fix because it takes 2 full cycles to get the light to come on.

Just keep an eye out on the code that it's setting. If it comes on again then tell the service writer it's the same code and i made sure the gas cap was tight. Tell them to try again with that excuse...=o)
