I was wondering if anyone else got a letter from PerformanceNissan.com stating there system was hacked and credit information with other personal information could be infiltrated.

I haven't seen anything wierd with my credit card or anything yet but did anyone else get this letter?

As Vice President and General Manager of Performance Nissan, I am sorry to inform you that several days ago our company was victimized by an intruder who illegally "hacked" into our Parts Department web server located at our hosting company. Two of our websites were compromised -- PerformanceNissanParts.com and MyNismo.com. Unfortunetly, this exposed the intruder to the names, addresses and credit card information of customers who made online purchases of parts from us. We deepy regret this incident and apologize for having to send this notifcation to you.

I just got the letter today.. maybe because I'm in MA at it takes a couple days longer than the people who buy the parts in CA.

 

I got the letter and cancled my credit card and got a new one.

I think it's such bs... this is the worst possible thing a company can do to a consumer...

 

Yup, my mom called me to let me know she received the letter a few days ago.

I guess I wasn't as lucky as you all. About 2 months ago, I noticed 2 bogus charges on my CC. One was for $25 for AOL and another was for $13 for Vendio Services. I called my CC company immediately and canceled my card, as well as disputed the charges. I was credited these charges, but it was a scary situation knowing someone has all your information.

 

Yep. I also received the letter today, but I had cancelled the CC that I used to order a set of pulley from them coz I lost it like 1.5 months ago...

 

I got my letter a couple of days ago. Here are some of the other threads. Normally I might be annoyed by all the reposts, but this is important enough that it's probably a good thing it keeps getting posted. Maybe one of these threads should be stickied for a while...?
