Weird Noise Shutting Down

I wonder if the rattling I hear coming from some part of my cabin is normal too. This is a great car, but could have been built more solid.

The noise is caused by the dual mass flywheel and is normal. At 200-400 rpm the DMF resonates and will cause all sorts of noise in the drivetrain. Pressing the clutch in disconnects the clutch and transmission from the flywheel so there is less drivetrain to make noise.
The point of the DMF is to lower the drivetrain's resonant frequency from something like 3000 rpm down to something like 300 rpm so that you only get noise when you shut down or start up your engine, not while you're driving.
