G35 has a 4 liter with 270lb-ft torque?

I was on infiniti's site comparing the G35 coupe to a 330ci. Under the performance section it gave me this...

"280-hp 4-liter V 6 engine with 270 lb-ft of torque "

I thought it had a 3.5 liter with 238 lb-ft of torque? Have I just been wrong this whole time?

Thanks
,-Brandon

The G35 has 3.5 liter, 280hp 270tq. That comparison site is wrong, I think I saw that too a while back.

The infiniti brochure states 280hp/270lb-ft for specs but it is definitely 3.5 litre, hense the name G35. Actually I don't really know if the G35 stands for the 3.5 litre engine but it is an easy way to remember the engine size.

Heh, heh, they must be rounding up. One sig-fig makes it 4L!

Re: G35 has a 4 liter with 270lb-ft torque?

Hi:

From what I have seen, Infiniti varies a lot of it's interior parts from car to car. This suggests to me that they may use more than one manufacturer to assure 'just in time delivery'. I can't help but wonder if some of the G35c engines have been installed in the G35s on occasion? This might account for one of the dyno reports for a sedan owner that were identical to those being obtained by G35c owners. Just speculation on my part but could this have happened?

The engines on the g35c g35s and the z are the same exact thing. the only difference are intake/exhaust systems and ecu programming.
