Question question:MREV with other upper plenums?

Hey guys, ive tried "serching it" but I was wondering if any of the 05-06 coupe guys with the MREV system are running with other non OEM plenums, such as crawford or kinetix. Is it even possible to combine both??

Absolutely, you can combine the two. However, I have yet to read or see any independent testing/data on this subject. Perhaps, someone will do so and as such, post up some info.

Any plenum upgrade that is designed to work with the stock lower plenum would fit. For example, the kinetix plenum that has the six tubes going directly to the intake manifold would not work (not sure of the exact name)

Kinetix SSV. ive seen a few on the boards, but im still skeptical as to whether its worth the money even with FI.

and to answer your question, yes it will work. you wont see any larger gains per say. the point of the spacers is to even out the airflow to all teh cylinders. this is the same purpose of any aftermarket upper intake manifold. so combinig the two will doubtfully provide enough gains to justify purchasing both.

Thanks for the feedback.... so it appears "stacking" the two wouldnt really justify the purchase. my thoughts were that it may run into some clearance issues with the stock hood.
