Let's see. It's 91 octane. It meets all state and Fed emission guidelines. I've used Costco gas, when available, for more than 10 years in a variety of cars and never experienced poorer performance or mileage than with 'branded' gas. The G runs great on it, with no difference in performance or mileage compared to 'branded gas.' It's 12-20c/gallon cheaper than other gas due to Costco procing policies. I frequently see Vettes, Vipers, Ms, AMGs, Porsches and other performance cars filling up there. Lastly, there no no certainty that the brand of gas you're getting is the same as the brand on the sign. There is considerable buying, selling and trading by stations and local distributors to meet short term imbalances in demand and supply. Follow a supply truck or two and see where they go. Talk to the owner of a station and find out how many different sources they have for gas.

Maybe the question should be why aren't you buying that gas?
