Who has had the recall done and did they screw it up

Ok, so we all know that the dealers suck at working on our cars... I have found it is odd for them to get everything right on the first try. I've experienced everything from them forgetting to bolt my seatbelt back in to them spilling gas inside my car and stinking it up.

So who has had the fuel hose recall done??? Did you have any issues? I heard they need to disassemble a decent amount of the car for access to the hose.

I just had this completed this week along with several other warranty issues(driver seat frame, car won't fill up, fuel gauge drops from full to 3/4 tank after 10 miles, passenger window rolls up and comes back down). First issue: they told me my car would be ready on Tuesday morning. I get there and the car is not ready. Since the dealership is 50 minutes from work, I tell them that they need to bring me my car since I have no plans on driving back and they comply. Second issue: when I get into my car after it's dropped off, I noticed grease on all of the seats, grease all over the carpet, grease all over the floor mats, and several scratches and chips in the doorsill. Additional, the back seat is not properly attached causing the leather to be so loose that I can grab a handful and I can lift the entire seat up w/out any effort. I head back to the dealership informing them that I'm on my way and really PISSED! When I get there the service mgr is waiting on me. They order a new seat, new doorsill and will do a complete inside/outside detail. Additionally, they put me in a QX56 until my car is ready.

I haven't had too much trouble with the fuel hose, but the clicking noise in my axle is back again. Bringing back to the dealer this friday for the 3rd time. Can I file a lemon law with just a clicking sound from the axle??

They're supposed to replace the driveline bolts, exhaust gasket, filler hose and evap hoses per ITB-06-00....

I had mine done today - Picked it up, no issues, Midway Infiniti rocks.

Might be they take good care of me because of my "connections", but I doubt it. Pretty happy with their service for the past 6 years.

yes you can file any repair not adequately performed under the lemon law, however, you must give them a resonable amount of attempts to correct the problem before it can be deemed a lemon. here in NC, you have to give them four trys, on the third try, notify the dealer and infinity customer service that there is to be only one more attempt after this service and if the vehicle cannot be fixed after the fourth try, you will seek to go into arbitration against them under the lemon law.

try contacting your state's consumer protection agency, they'll point you in the right direction and all relavent stipulations for the claim.

I just recently had the fuel hose recall done. After I got the car back I immediately started having problems with the tank not filling and gas guage readings. The dealer said they were unrelated. I don't believe them. Lets see, they do work on the fuel tank and immediately the tank won't fill and the gas guage malfunctions, hmmm?? Anyway. it took three trips to the dealer in total to get it all fixed. So I now have a new shutter valve and gas sending unit and everything now seems fine. It was a pain in the *** and also the car smells like gas for 2 days every time they work on the gas tank.

I was hesitant to do this, and this makes me even more so.

at first i really didn't have a prob with gas tank but got the recall done anyway. Man did they F things up. picked it up my gas gauge stop working, brought it back the next day and they keep it for about a week. get car back and gauge not working car ran out of gas when gauge say over 1/4 tank. Oh by the way do you know if they have to remove your rear bumper to do the recall, b/c after getting it done i see screwdriver pry marks on my rear bumper and there is now a gap. Bringing back to dealer tomrrow to get fixed and by the way the axle is clicking again(6th time). Gona talk to the service manager and try and get things straight or going to lemon law. Bout had it

I had it done recently.

Apaprently Infiniti is screwing the techs on the time it takes to do the job, so it really isn't as much "taking apart the car" as it was before (since they had to get the time down). Which if good news for us
