So, how many miles/kilometers did they last you? I had to replace the front set of rotors and pads after only 25,000 km. It was too late to have them resurfaced. After another 25,000 km, it's starting to squeak when I'm almost at a dead stop. I hope it's not due again. 80% highway driving and I don't brake hard. How can this be? If I have to replace them again, then man... gotta rethink about the entire car. So I'm wondering how are other owners treating them...

Second question.. are there any replacements that'll last longer? I replaced them with OEM ones from the stealership the first time.

I'm at 39,000km right now and still on the factory set. At 36,000km when I brought it into the dealership for service, they said that a new pad has a thickness of 9mm and at the time, I still had 7mm left on fronts and rears. So basically, I'm still good for quite a while. They recommended replacing them when it gets to 2mm.

Also, getting new OEM pads and rotors replaced at the dealership will cost you an arm and a leg. I would definitely go aftermarket if I were you. You could get drilled or slotted rotors for less money than OEM rotors from the dealership. Maybe that's just from my experience from what I was quoted from the local dealers.

If you want to go OEM, check here on the boards for people selling them. I have 4 fronts and 3 rears just sitting in the garage. Not that I will sell them, but many people have upgraded and have them sitting around.

*IF* I need to replace 'em again, I'm definitely going with aftermarket.. still sucks if I have to replace rotors/pads every 25k km...

Get rid of those OEM PADS!

You shouldnt have needed to replace the rotors so soon that's wierd. I would for sure go with HAWK HPS they are friendly on the rotors and NO DUST! All Brembo's. Stoptech, Endless, Etc. make noise. There is nothing to fix the noise of BBK it's just something you live with. The Hawk's do not make noise until they are about 1mm.

I recently replaced my brembo pads after 63000km. The rotors were still good the mechanic said so I just put on axxis deluxe plus pads front and back from www.importrp.com .They haven't made a sound yet and they have been on for about 2000km .They bite better than the stocks and make a lot less dust. They cost me $140 cdn after shipping and exchange and taxes. Took about 7 days to get. If you have to get new brakes DO NOT get them at the dealership, they want $330 just for the front pads another $330 rear and $900 for 1 rotor. Get them online and go to another garage for the brake job.

Took a look at the site and their prices are pretty good. Especially with a strong CAD these days... this is much more fesible. Just a few questions when you placed your order.. what company did they use to ship over the border? What fees (duty/brokerage) did you have to pay if any? There's the usual 15% tax the Canadian customs will slap on correct?

Thanks

first of all, squeaking isnt necessarily due to rotor wear.
it could be due to dirt/dust/pad/etc

having said that, 12kmi sounds early to change rotors. if you have to change again i would go with stoptech 1pc rotors.. they are $540 ish all around..and sohuld last just as long..

It's a matter of preference. I learned that aftermarket cheaper things are almost never better. G coupe with brembos being such a great car, I will stick with OEM pads and any other parts, and I will buy of course from the internet and not from the stealership. My brembos squeak a lot lately but that does not mean I have to replace them. You have to take your wheels off once in a while and inspect how much meat left you have on the pads. I switch my wheels for the winter so I conveniently inspect the pads then. They were squeaking before november, and I checked there is more than half the pads left. Now I checked few weeks ago, and the pads are still good to go for another 6 months maybe a year, even tho they squeak when I brake lightly. Listen to whatever everyone has to say, but remember to make your own decision, what works for you. Take care.

It cost me I think it was $43CDN dollars when the UPS guy showed up. That included all the fees.. taxes..duty..etc. The pads and shipping were approx $86 US or $100CAD. So in total $140 CDN. Hope this helps. The pads are great, bite as good or better than the stocks in my opinion. I would definitely buy them again.

I have an 04 coupe with Brembos, now at 31k miles time for front pads. Ive read a lot of threads and it seems everyone is having issues with brembos. I'll be honest, the brake dust SUCKS, but i love them! Minor noise once in a while, specially after car wash. Any one have some knowledge on Axxis Deluxe vs. Hawk HPS?

I have 24,000 miles (what is that..~38,000km) on original Brembo pads. I bought OE replacement pads for front several months ago but I still have +4mm left to go.
