Interior Rattle

Anyone else noticed a rattle coming from the rear driver's side passenger seat? I've been noticing it for a while and I wondered if anyone else has the same problem. I'm going to have Infiniti check it out when I go in for the next service.

Re: Interior Rattle

yeah, this car interior rattles...just turn up the stereo and enjoy driving it. i have rattles on shifter area, sunroof, rear deck, center console, dash...you name it, it rattles. don't get me wrong, i love this car, it is just not a quite one....sure love the exhaust note..... roll down the window or open the sunroof and enjoy the exhaust note...you won't notice any rattle then...

I loved the exhaust, until the heat shield started rattling.. just add it to the list.

Re: Interior Rattle

Have you guys not gone to your dealers about this? There are TSBs out for most of the rattles you mentioned. The door is a definite TSB. Why live with rattles when you can get them removed?

Re: Interior Rattle

my experience with fixed rattles is that the fixed is temporary then it will go worst in a long run. unless of course it is a defected/cracked parts or wrongly installed components, then obviously need to be replaced or fixed. these ratles are just normal stuff from the firm suspensions and low profile tires jolts.

Re: Interior Rattle

Nissan/Infiniti issues a TSB, which states a known problem that occurs under given situations in a certain make of automobile. They send kits to remedy said problem to their dealerships... when you bring the car to the dealership with a problem, they check the TSB database to see if it's a known issue, and if it is, they use the fix supplied by Nissan/Infiniti. there are many online searchable databases of TSBs for the G, you can also see them here in the TSB forum. Not all TSBs apply to all vehicles. Hope this helps...

Re: Interior Rattle

You can say "I want to take my tech for a ride" and drive around until the rattle comes out, or point out exactly where it is, explain exactly what you're hearing and under what conditions, then say "I know there's a TSB for it." Hope all goes well.

Re: Interior Rattle

I received an anonymous post that said...He just had his dealer fix rear-deck rattle w/foam inserts and center console rattle (near ashtray) w/foam tape between where the 2 plastic pieces meet. Turning up the radio is not the way to go to NOT hear these. It makes it worse. As a matter of fact, stereo now sounds much better cause the rattles were making it sound like it was breaking up when it actually wasn't. Don't settle for rattles, you paid for a rattle-free car and that's how it should be.
