Garage height for a lift?

For anybody who has a lift setup in their garage (i.e., drive one car on it, raise up, drive 2nd car underneath) how tall is your garage? I'm just trying to figure out if our roof it tall enough to accomodate a g35 and a viper on a lift.

There's a guy around here who has a similar setup (prowler on bottom, viper on top of lift) but I don't think I can exactly ring his doorbell and ask to measure his garage height

Just hit the manufacturers and check the required hieght.

Also, you could check the height of both cars and then add about 3' to see if you have enough.

I don't see how a standard garage height would be enough. Those are what... ...9'-10' high?

Most lifts are around 14' tall. Thats plenty tall for two cars.

And also plenty tall for any garage that was not designed to accomidate such a lift.

Definately. Can't do it with a standard garage, unless there is some sort of lift that is made for that. My dad has been researching them for his new custom home and they all seem to be 14'.

ive been researching lifts to fit into my garage and the ones i lean towards are only 9 feet tall... which means you can probably get your g35 about 4.5 to 5 feet in the air... me personally... i only need to get the car 2 feet in the air to comfortablyso its perfect work on it

It's tight, but it does look to work. The G isn't all that tall, so one of those probably would do the job.
