i had bent rims last year, if you bent them on state land - you should claim insurance. all you do is call your local police to make a damage report, and file with your insurance company. state / governemtns are responsible for their roads, and if they damaged your car - you will get reimbursed. i got my money - but make sure you take pics and get a cop to create an accident form for you.

Lets get a few things straight. Its not like I hit a crater that was so bad it stuck in my mind. I remember hitting a decent sized pothole thats about it. FOR THE PEOPLE WHO DONT READ I CHANGED THE WHEELS AND I STILL HAD THE PROBLEM, ITS NOT A BENT WHEEL, NONE OF THAT.

I had the dealer change my driver front bearing today and it didnt fix anything. There was no note on my account I can assure anyone of that.

to the a**hole who called me an idiot driver, I'm not gonna drive this car around avoiding every single discoloartion in the road but I do avoid huge potholes. Your probably one of those losers who takes every speed bump on an angle like they have some sick *** sports car.

Posting this thread is becoming such a waste of time because 90% of you people either have no clue what your talking about or just dont read. It has nothing to do with my rims as I changed them and the problem was still there. Lets see if saying it 4 times in one thread can get into your brains'

try putting on the factory wheels and see if its still a problem... sounds like a wheel issue to me as well. an alignment may help; the pothole may have screwed you up. that fixed a similar-sounding problem on my old truck

the only thing you can do is have a service manager come for a drive along so that they know exactly what you are talking about. tell them to keep the car until the issue is resolved. as far as the responses on this thread...blame it on moron #1 who told you to take it in for a lemon law and the fact that your header was "Vibrating Problem On 2006 Coupe With 5k? ". kind of confusing as to what you are getting at. are you saying your car shouldn't vibrate after hitting a pothole because it is an 06? yeah, people should read all the post before responding, but like you said, some are just a waste of time. what is your issue...do you want help regarding the dealer, mechanical suggestions, or are you just venting?

I have had no problems for the past 1000 miles but I hit a nice sized pothole and ever since I notice a vibration if I turn the wheel just slightly to the right

Do you only have a vibration if you turn your wheel? If so,have your Dealer check out your wheel bearings.

Don't be so hard on the guys trying to help you. 99% of vibrations are caused by either a bent wheel or by wheels out of balance.

A bad alignmnet will cause uneven tire wear which may ultimately cause a vibration, but a bad alignmnet by itself will not cause a vibration.

I changed the wheels already and the problem is still there. I've said this I think 5 times in the thread. I appreciate the help but I already did this and posted that it did nothing to fix my problem. The car is stock height, and doesnt pull either way. THE VIBRATING PROBLEM DOESNT EVEN REQUIRE THE WHEEL BE TURNED. YOU CAN BE DRIVING DOWN THE HWY AT 70 MPH AND JUST BARELY BREATHE ON THE WHEEL TO THE RIGHT AND IT DOES IT. TRANSFER OF WEGHT OR TIRE EDGE IS NOT EVEN A FACTOR.

I took teh service manager for a ride, he says its normal, but its obviously not. i've been driving the car for thousdans of miles, my gf also has an 06 g35x and my best friend an 06 coupe. something is definitely wrong with my car. first the service manager said my 20" tires were the problem, even though they are brand new, but of course they blame anything aftermarket. Ntex he blamed the offset was off on the 350z wheels I borrowed from a friend the 2nd time i brought him the car. The the 3rd time i brought it there back witht he 20's on it all around and he replaced the driver side wheel bearing which still didnt fix the problem. DID EVERYONE GET THAT? TUESDAY AM, THE DRIVER SIDE FRONT WHEEL BEARING WAS REPLACED AND IT DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM.

Steve,

Try having them check the shock mounts or perhaps the wheel hubs....not the wheels themselves. A loose mount or damaged shock may contribute to the vibration, especially if it's directional (ie. left or right turn only). Do you notice anything when you turn left?
