Tire choice

Just picked up my G and I'm already thinking about my next set of tires.
Anyone have any suggestions ? What works "best" on your machines ?

I just put on Good Year Eagle F1 GS-D3s on the back wheels last week. I'm loving the tires so far. Better tread life with performance on par with the highest end performance tires.

My G35 came with Yokohama AVS ES100s. High performance summer only tire with directional tread. Tire has good grip in dry and wet and seems to be wearing reasonably well so far. Also relatively quiet for a HP tire.

the Michelin PS2's are probably the best but also the most expensive. your gonna cough up a lot, but you get an amazing sticky tires, soft sidewall so its not too stiff of a ride and they lost pretty long. mine lasted longest out of all the tires ive had

depends on what you're looking for.... are you looking for a summer ultra high performance tire or an all season high performance tire?

for summer ultra high perf, the toyo t1R's are a good choice and not too expensive.

Bridgestone just came out with a new all season high perf. called the Potenza RE960AS to compete with the Pilot Sport AS's. I'll be putting a set on my G within the next couple months, supposed to out perform the Michelin's in most every category.

on a 2 mile course, 2 identical boxster S one with bridgestone all season tire, one with RE01R, the latter lapped the first car in 2 laps.
