Stock for Stock a E36 M3 5MT will take a G35 6MT with equal drivers. They are rated at 240Hp and do 0-60 in about 5.5 sec. So, it's not that far fetched that you could only keep up with him...driver ability does not count because auto takes no skill.

Driver UR G, I think i read in another post that you are 18. You don't have much driving experience, and you definitely shouldn't be racing anyone up to 110 mph. Maybe this is why your buddy crashed. Drive safe and be nice to the G.

I remember a few months after I got my 03 5AT running against an m3 from tolls to about 70, we were dead even the whole time. Not sure if he was MT or AT though.

An e36 was rated 240, but bmw 240 is stronger than some other cars 240 hp. Also there was a lightweight e36 m3 model if i remember correctly, dont know if your buddy has that one but those weigh a lot lesser than a G.

E36 is LIGHTER. The Gears are more aggressive in BMWs, if you had a manual it might have been little closer. And BMWs have less transmission HP lost, meaning your 280 and his 240 isn't all that far apart in whp, plus the power to weight, his is better.

My friend crashed because he was coming around a turn on a highway and there was a construction bump due to highway work and the car skip off the ground and wen he came down he spun out. Dude shut your mouth you have no idea my skills For all you know i could of went to Skip Barber racing school? Or maybe my father was in the NHRA circuit growing up and had his own team and crew? Your so ignorant age has nothing to do with driving ability.
I also took defensive driving class and drivers ed when I first got my license

I raced an e36 coming back from NJ one night on the Clearview Expressway. He was next to me and gassing it again and again while I was going 65 so I said ok why not since he's asking for it.. We both gunned it at the same time but I downshifted to 3rd.. I don't know if his car was auto or manual. I was right behind him due to a car in my lane but once we reached about 100 I pulled on him.. I don't know if he stopped trying or not but I did walk him.
Maybe he wasn't trying or maybe he just sucked at driving stick.. he had CT license plates on :P
