defective tire valve
defective tire valve
Just took home my G35C 6spd saturday. This morning, about 2 min after starting the car, the low tire pressure beep and light came on. It seems the right front tire valve is defective, or the tire was mounted incorrectly. As soon as I unscrew the tire valve, air starts to seep out, as the little needle is sticking out too far out from the valve itself.
Re: defective tire valve
You just need the tool to screw the valve in tighter, sounds like whomever balanced the wheels did not do so. Any bicycle shop, auto parts or chain store will have it.
Re: defective tire valve
Took the car in this afternoon, and had them replace the defective valve. All seemed ok on the commute back to work. On the commute home, the beep and light came on again, but tires don't seem to be under inflated. I'll have to call back tomorrow morning. Hopefully nothing serious or time consuming to fix. The car has only 600 miles on it.
Re: defective tire valve
I had a similar issue. Everytime I checked my tire pressure (2003 model, no sensors) the valve would stay open on the front, right tire. Believe it or not, it took the dealership 3 visits to fix it.
