I think he was "trying" to leave that cop and leave at the next ramp; but he chose the wrong ramp, which led him to a closed end: CIA

HAHA! I DID 90 IN THE 06 6MT COUPE, on a test drive! I wasn't even on the highway when i did it. You guys crack me up. Hmmm... what about the 156 I pulled on my motorcycle?

Honestly though, this isn't how I normally drive. I am actually a big fan of track time but they closed the track on Oahu and now I get the urge every now and then. That will all be better soon after I move to TX.

i've hit 125+ more then a few times in the G, late at night on open roads... 90 here and there. However, drive much slower these days because tires are getting worn. Sides, i'm older and it doesnt make much sense.

I know a bunch you have tried going over 140 from the posts I read.

The autobahn has lower death rate than many us highways, so maybe rasing the speed limit isnt such a bad thing like the article seems to believe. Dont get me wrong, some parts of the auto bahn do have speed limits. but they also have strict passing rules that everone abides by. .

some people on here, myself included, may say that that is idiotic. Risking your own and other peoples lives for what reason? (that is if this was done on the streets) I guess it's better that you are doing it on a motorcycle though.

I'll admit ive driven fast, but imo "i wasnt reckless" not a single person on the road, but i think we've all done this, and i think alot of ppl on this forum are quick to judge. They judge the ability of the driver and his/her competence to make "good judgement" based on how fast they drive. hmm i think were all guilty of speeding sometimes. So dont be so quick to judge.

I speed all the time (not saying this is right), but even I have limits. And sorry but anything over 120 on public roads is reckless. Even if there are no cars on the road, you never know what's in the road (debris), or if an animal is going to run out in front of you, or if some idiot is walking on the side of the road for what ever reason. I don't mean to judge, but can anyone give me a GOOD reason to drive that fast other than to see how fast their car can go?

Well, im not gona sit here and argue with ppl bc its pointless... all im saying is dont be so quick to judge.... who's to say that its not really late at night and someone didnt already drive by the highway to make sure that it was safe to speed?... i dunno its just agrivating to see how quic ppl judge meanwhile they themselves are guilty of the same crime...

um no, not everyone here is guilty of doing the same thing. I have a feeling a lot more of us are mature enough to keep it off the streets and on the track. So, don't be so quick to judge the people on this board. Thanks.

I'm just saying that with having a fast car comes the responsibility to use it in the right venue and the highway is not that venue. Just because the car can go 160 that doesn't mean it should be driven that fast. You can take that however you like. I speed all the time but usually cap it at 15 over the speed limit at the most. Is that still breaking the law? YES. Is it dangerous? Probably YES. Is it even close to as dangerous or reckless as 120+? NO.
