Im sorry, but there has to be something seriously wrong with your car if you drive like a grandma (as you say) but still get 10mpg. The only way you can get that kind of mileage is if you drive like 3 miles a day to work in stop and go traffic (literally under 15 mph the entire way). Either your math is wrong or you drive like we all want to, yet all the time.

Good luck finding the problem, but hopefully it is just a human error in calculation or very spirited driving.

Black0nBlack, have you tried driving like a grandma just to see if there is any difference? Also try resetting your computer. Disconnect the Negative(black) battery terminal and press the brake pedal (I pressed mine for 5 min just to be sure) to drain the stored energy in the capacitors. Then check another tank. If you have tried this I would take it in to the dealer. 10 mpg would **** me off with the high prices we have right now. Good luck.

Intake, MREV and all those will throw off your timing and there for you use more fuel then stock.

perhaps you're not calculating properly? reset the trip meter everytime you fill the tank. next tank calculate total trip miles divided by gallons filled. is that what you are doing now? because 10mpg means something is totally wrong with the car. does the power seem like it's there? sounds like the fuel management is way off like a non functioning O2 sensor or full time open loop operation. 10mpg is so bad your brakes could be dragging. i just tipped over 7k miles and i always get 19-20mpg around town driving and more on the highway.

I could see if he didn't do regular oil changes, had some mods that he took off before he sold it. Can you check under the hood to see if any of the bolts and nuts have been removed. I mean wear on the heads of the bolts and nuts.
