I'm looking to lease and got a few dealers to invoice +$100. Will get $500 loyalty but they will use that for cap cost reduction. Hmmm.

Anyway - good deal? The other lease numbers are pretty much set by IFS so no play there.
I was looking to get another $500 off to help offset my lease expense for the next 2 months for my M but I'm not seeing that yet.

Thinking about just waiting until the 09's come out and seeing what happens.

Not sure if the lease numbers are going to get ugly in Sept though.

Any thoughts?

Jay

g35 journey white/stone
options include illuminated kick plates (yes they are really on there)
cargo net
splash guards
edumunds invoice - 31322
- 1000 cash to customer
+ tax tag and doc fee
2193 + 125 + 500
otd = 33140

should i take this deal?

Not a bad deal at all. I got the exact same car plus the wood package (same color and everything) for 32,140 OTD.

My taxes were only 3% so they were about 1/2 your taxes. Pretty much the same deal.

I'm having the same trouble as tru....I went to 2 dealers in LA and both won't even budge. I got 43000 OTD and I laughed in his face! He only took 1100 off the sticker and I even told him about paying around the invoice and he gave me alot of bull about how they wouldn't be in business if they sold for that much. The particular model I was looking at had an invoice around 36500 an the best they could do (or so they say they could do) was 38800. I did my research and alo of reading so I was pretty well educated on the subject. I don't think I should be expecting to be pay that much at the end of August and when the new models are coming in next month. Needless to say, my parents and I walked out and I think I will be getting a different vehicle. I don't have time to go to a bigger market like Houston so I will have to go to second choice of vechicles.

Just thought I'd share b/c this has been such a helpful forum. Probably not the BEST deal out there, but decent. I dealt with Infiniti of Lisle here in the Chicagoland area and they were very above board in everything. I was in and out of the finance office in about 7 minutes (and that was b/c I was skeptically reviewing everything I was signing).

Plat. Graph G35 Journey Sport Pkg, Prem Pkg, Cargo Net
MSRP - $37,675
Invoice $34,464

Sell Price $34,500
Doc Fee $175
Tax (7.25%) $2,513.94
Lic/Reg $143
Loyalty ($1,000)
TOTAL $36,331.94

Took advantage of the 0.9% APR for 60mos they are offering and my payment is at $619.50/mo. Was planning on leasing, but the cost of money is so low, I couldn't pass it up. I literally didn't put any money down...walked in, and drove off with the car without putting a penny down.

Now to buy a set of winter wheels!!!

My $0.02

Took delivery 2 wks ago on a 08 G35-S 6MT
-Lakeshore/Stone
-Premium
-Sport
-Nav

Went with the lease and Cap Cost was $35,500, Cash would have been about $33,500.

Easiest way to buy is call 3 or 4 dealerships, ask for the internet sales manager and ask him how much over or under invoice they are willing to sell at.. don't even go into options etc. Then go buy your car. If the dealer doesn't have the color/options you want most will get it for you if it exists locally. If you want you can call the others back and see if they will beat the best offer but that would probably only net you a few hundreds...if anything. Infiniti does not have big hold-back so anything close to invoice is a good deal...within $500 I would say (minus dealer cash etc..).. Every manufacturer is different; Acura for instance offered 3k under invoice on a TL-S (as if!!)

So I actually pulled the trigger on a G35x tonight with:

Premium
Tech
Nav
Wood
Cargo Net
Mud flaps

Brought it home tonight to get the wife's sign-off and she was pleased!

I only paid my tax, title, tags, 1st month and bank fee. (about $1,300)
24 months, 12k miles per year
$499/mo (including 9% state tax)

Ended up with about $400-$600 below invoice plus the $500 loyalty from Infiniti for the cap cost reduction.

I was pretty happy with this. Thoughts?

Jay

Picked up our new G a couple weeks ago:

08 G35S 6MT
Premium
Nav
Cargo net

We paid $34,600 roughly. This included tint, wheel locks and a front drilled bumper from the dealer in Houston that we had to have the car shipped from. There were no 6MT G35S Premium Nav in Dallas.

We also got the wheel and tire protection for 5 years for $499. After the wife somehow chewing through 6 tires on her last car in 3 years, I hope this pays for itself

I just pulled the trigger on my G35 last week. I got a G35 Journey with:
Cargo net
Splash Guards
Premium package

I got out the door for $32,000 cash. The sale price was about $31,400 with NC 3% sales tax and $599 fees. The total was $33k exactly minus the $1000 conquest.

Not bad for a car with a sticker price of $36,000!
