I purchased some 18" ruff racing 277 and I didnt know much about offsets and sizes of what fits and what not, just that I wanted staggered. So when I got them it was from this place called VQmotoring online and they told me the wheels and tires would fit my car and they sell alot of 350z and g35 stuff so i figured they knew what they were talking about. Well I have them now (took almost a month to get them, what a headache, nobody buy from VQmotoring) and they stick out of the side of my car so much its crazy. I kinda like how it looks though but it rubs like a mother when I hit bumps. I thought I could just get the fenders rolled but my friend who drives a EVOmr and seems very knowledgable about cars says he thinks rolling them wont help because they stick out so wide. I think there are a couple people here with this setup I was hoping you guys could help me out with what to do. Wondering if I need to fight that place for a refund or if I can make it work without major body work.

 

For us to help you, you have to provide specific info. Wheel, tire sizes and offsets. Otherwise your question will go unanswered.

 

I dont know the offsets But they are 18" wheels 245/40/18 in front 275/40/18 in the back. is there any way to find the offsets?

 

Sounds likes they sold wheels meant for a g35 coupe because those guys mentioned they work alot with 350z/G35C.

 

Offsets are normally stamped on the rear of the wheel. I know Ruff does NOT have the proper staggered fitment for the sedan. Their 9.5" wheels are usually +35 offset which DO NOT fit the sedan with a 275 tire.

 

maybe you are right. I specifically told them I drive a G35 sedan too. I think I need to talk to them and get this worked out. It was such a headache jst getting the wheels I cant imagine how bad its going to be now if I try to get a refund.

 

Not entirely true. I run a 19X9.5 with a 35 mm offset and 275 rear tires and the rear wheel fit is tight. The Dunlop direzza tire has a curved sidewall that gives me the clearance I need although I still needed to roll the fenders.

 

So it doesn't fit. I've seen your pictures and they do stick out of the fenders. The whole idea of getting the right offsets is so that no mods are done to the car for proper fitment and the end result is a clean looking sedan IMO. I mean, I can put 19x9 +35 in the front with 235/35 tires and 19x10 +40 in the rear with 265/30 tires, but I'd have to roll the fenders and dial in more negative camber. That is extreme and will look good, but it wouldn't be practical for a daily driver. I still like your car bro...

 

so if i switch to the direzza tire i can roll the fenders and everything will be cool? I only have 18". Still wont be able to drop the car?

 

provided that your wheels are 35mm offset then yes they will fit with the direzza tire. Just pray that dunlop doesn't discontinue the tire.

 

I am going to buy 19x8.5 (front) and 19x9.5 wheels tomorrow for my 2006 coupe. what should offset be?
