lloks like its variable... 50:50 when in snow 25:75 for wet and 0:100 for regular driving.....I would assum in 0:100 its the same as our G's...

AWD adds weight to the car, just ask Audi. Performance will be a little less than a regular G assuming the same HP.

If the engine stays the same, the power will be slightly less due to distributing the power to four wheels as opposed to two.

04 Sedan. Black W/ Willow. Premium, Navigation, Sport Tuned. Brand Spankin New.

Flywheel horsepower will be the same. Power at the wheels is what will change.

Yeah, in theory. But you're going to have to launch it pretty hard. And since the AWD is "automatic", will it even go into effect on launching? The G35 isn't a car that was made to be drag-raced.

Re: G35X (AWD) Now on Infiniti's website!

It is a full-time AWD system, but it is Nissan's take on AWD... Most full time AWD system employ a center differential to divert power to the wheels. Those methods are purely mechanical... i.e. Audi's Quattro, or Subaru's AWD (in their manual transmission cars)

Nissan's take on Full Time AWD is a lot of electronics and the involvement of a clutch system... The computer controls how much power diverts to the wheels etc. and according to Nissan, the system (ATTESA) is able to divert all power to rear wheel only.... But the car is still consider Full Time AWD

It's like porsche's - RWD until you lose grip. SOunds bad ****. If it has teh extra power the 6MT it prob will not be much different for speed - the system s/b much lighter than subbies.

Re: G35X (AWD) Now on Infiniti's website!

In terms of weight, I would assume it would be similar... the Subaru's AWD system is very simple and efficient. Not many parts in it, purely mechanical... so it doesn't weight much ( don't know the actual figures). Nissan's AWD actually weight more, if you consider all the electronic parts that are involved in its operation...

The question is, can the G35X beat WRX? It should... can it beat an STi or S4... probably not.
