Another 2004 sedan dyno
#6
ok let me just confirm what I am seeing....that is 246 hp, at the WHEELS on a DYNOJET (not a dynajet) with the 2004 Sedan 260 hp engine....
man, even the 05 298hp sedans are only hitting about 250hp at the wheels!! those are great numbers!
(someone please chime in and tell me that I am reading something wroung...I am not a dyno techie)

this is the second school of "break in" thought...driving the vehicle extremly hard from day one.
with 250 at the wheels, your car must be making more than 260 at the crank. maybe you have a different engine installed no?

This braking in method has been proven to me in person with about 3 cars tha my friends owned. One was 2003 G35 coupe 6MT who is still a member here Rob_G35 who did the same type of break in and had 256 to the wheels on the same dyno same place (Stillen Dyno day) but 2 years ago. On the same day there were about 4 other G35s with various mods like spacer, exhaust, pulleys etc. and Rob still got the highest numbers out of them with just z-tube and intake. The engine isn't different on these cars at all. It depends how the ECU is "trained" and how well the car is broken in.
As far as Me having over 260 hp to the crank. I agree i think 2003-2004 engines are underrated mainly sedans and at the same time the 2005 6MT engines are a bit overrated. I have mentioned this is various threads. Its all marketing thiing.
