Earlier this week I was gassing up our G35 sedan and noticed that the trunk was accidentally left open by the gf but isn't there a dummy light anywhere?? even her last car a Civic had a light showing when the trunk was open.

pls help

 

if you have the nav, it will show in red that a door is open... that would be your trunk!

or any of the other 4 doors!

Ok what if you don't have Nav then there is no trunk open indicator is Infiniti really that stupid ?

Plus, it should show exactly what door is open not just a dummy, generic "some"-door-is-open sign ! Also, the open trunk button is totally invisible at night, like everything else on the steering column ! I mean, for a $40k car, it's unbelievable, isn't it ?????!!!!!!!!!

And now, let me finish with .... "I LOVE MY G" !!!!

 

Yeah, I continue to see that the wifes 2000 Maxima
has more features than my plain old G35. I don't
have the premium package, sob sob.. so the wifes
Max has more "nice"stuff, but it can't hold a candle
to the G performance wise!

This is true. The 92 Accord I traded in had 5 lights on the dash for door/trunk ajar. In fact, the 86 Accord I had prior to it had the same 5 lights. I do have the Nav system, and it confused me greatly the first time it said "door ajar" -- took me awhile to figure out that it was the trunk. And, it only does that if you happen to have the nav screen up and on.. if it's down, there's no warning.
