On my 3rd CD player

Re: On my 3rd CD player
That doesn't sound promising. Stock or Bose unit? They've ordered a replacement for me, and I'll be having my Bose system replaced when it comes in. The CD player jammed before I've had the car two weeks. "CD ERR F0" I'm hopeful that it'll only take one swap to fix.

Re: On my 3rd CD player
It's the Bose unit. The swap out went fine (although I'm still not happy with the job they did on the trim between the dash and the center console).
The first player started going flaky at around 3,000 miles. When the car was hot (sitting in sun all day) the CD player wouldn't work.
The second player gave me the "CD ERR F0" error at around 8,000 miles. I happened to be 300 yards from Infiniti service
Let's hope the 3rd time is a charm. The are shipping the unit to Clarion to have the CDs removed.

Re: On my 3rd CD player
I thought Clarion made the base model radio.
I'm still waiting for them to get a Bose radio in for me. Apparently, they're on back order, and they can't give me an estimate. "Could be two weeks, could be tomorrow." Whatever.

Re: On my 3rd CD player
nope bose too i believe. the bose stereo isn't that great. i would go aftermarket for the stereo a lot better quality. i was a fan of bose but not anymore. their quality has gone down a lot. aftermarket is the way to go. if u want to keep the stock face. (i am no stereo expert) but i believe u can use your stock head unit and get a seperate amp and power all the speakers through that amp. dunno how to phrase it correctly but hopefully u understand.

Re: On my 3rd CD player
Well, my CD player has been jammed since Jan 8. They say the Bose units are on backorder, and don't have any kind of estimate when it will show up. "Could be tomorrow, could be next week," they said two weeks ago. I've already gone on a couple of light road trips through mountainous regions where the FM reception is bad, and cursed the jammed player.
The service manager asked if I had put burned CD's in it, as apparently the unit doesn't cope with CD-R's very well. No, I didn't, but still.. I can see where it might not recognize and play a CD-R, but I don't see how a CD-R would jam the changer mechanism.
Anybody else out there waiting for a backordered replacement unit?

Re: On my 3rd CD player
My unit finally came in yesterday. They replaced it this morning, took about 45 minutes. They even reprogrammed all my radio preset stations. Supposedly they should receive my CDs from the factory in about a week. If it's been that long, call your service manager and complain.
