Mine are all one-touch (part of the premium package) but the button for the driver's window is different from the other three buttons. The driver's button is specifically labelled "auto" but the other three buttons are plain. Then at the button (rear) of the window-control faceplate, there "all auto" silkscreened. I just thought that was a cheap alternative to making all four buttons identical. The buttons on each of the other three doors are labelled "auto", why not use the same button throughout the whole car with the premium package? Maybe they addressed this for 2004.

Fireball, ditto on all yours. The dash bugs me to. I got used to my sporty white guages on my Max. I found this tho.
In browser type Nismo.com (takes you to Japan Parts.com in the Nissan section) then click on Skyline/G35, then on 'meter'
I didn't attach the link on the item for those of you who haven't seen the site. There's lots of things for our G's there. Lots of cool Nismo stuff. I just don't know how to get/buy them.

Those gauges look great. The only problem is that Nismo doesn't seem to offer the speedo in "mph" instead of "km/h".
I also noticed that the Nismo site lists a set of 17" wheels for the sedan from Rays. The wheels look exactly like the stock 17s for the sedan? Are the sedan's wheels in fact made by Rays or are the Nismo wheels identical in style but just lighter (I'm guessing that they're forged).

Just thought of two of two more:
Back-up sensors (even minivans get em now!) or a camera showing on the Nav scrren like the Q would be even even better, but I'd be happy with just the sensors.
Struts to hold up the hood like almost every other luxury car out there. Prop rods seem so cheap too me.
Anything else out there you guys can think of? I'm thinking of building a custom car now. ha ha. but seriously, I'm going after doing some of these things, like the mirror tilt module available in Japan. Does anyone know any local sources for getting Japanese parts and mods?

Hmmm...
Maybe it's the Vegas/ Chicago club scene in me, but I want to see an option involving a retractable hardtop, a telescoping stripper pole, and umm...a stripper...
Just my 2 cents...I like the G35 with the options it already has...The rest is what the aftermarket is for...

I don't care about the hood struts. I do care about the trunk struts.. I use the trunk more often than I work on the engine, and struts there are much better than gooseneck hinges.

I was so pleased when I could close my full trunk without squishing my luggage last weekend. That's one thing I do NOT miss about my SHO.

One think I would like is all the cool features some of the other Nissan and Infinit cars are getting in the Navi like vioce activation and a magenment system. I hear that the new Quest and Titan and Armada the navi tells you if you have a flat, if the car has a loose wheel and things along that line.
I agree, there's a few more thing I would have expected in a luxury name. I also went to check out the Passat W8, great features and build but alas no 6spd and that was a must have for me. Besides I expected much better performance numbers from the W8 and was surprised to see that it was pretty slow.
On the hood struts, they should last a pretty long time and what would it cost to replace them down the road.
Everything else on the list is not much to ask for IMO. Good thing this car has awesome performance, it makes up for a lot of stuff.

I stopped at a couple of Volkswagon dealerships while I was looking for a car, (though I wasn't looking at the W8).
One dealership, no one even came around to answer questions, or to offer me a test drive (and they only had 1 V6 in stock). The other dealership, the only new Passats they had in stock were the 4 cylinder turbos. The salesperson seemed arrogant to me. I was not interested in buying a turbo, partially because of some issues people I know have had with turbos. The salesman told me, though, that these were German Turbos
My opinion is that they push the turbo 4s too much, probably because of the price point they are aiming for.
A consequence is that, a few months later, I ended up with a decent 6 cylinder without a turbo.
