245-40-18 for my 6 spd G35 sedan on my stock 18" rims

Factory specs is 235-45-18

Has anyone changed the tires to 245 on stock 18" rims and which are the good performance tires

I have 245/40/18 on my stock 18" sedan sport rims. Bridgestone S0-3's, they have a little over 13000 miles on em and the fronts are shot the rear still have about 4 32nds left. They're really noisy in their current state of baldness. Once i get over 85 they start makin a lot of noise.

yes, the 245/40 is smaller in diameter than the 235/45 so it'll fit.

I'm running 245/45/18's on aftermarket wheels. They fit very well though the offset on my wheels is 40mm. I'm not sure of the fit on factory wheels. My tires are Goodyear Eagle F1-GSD3's. They handle incredibly well though I do find them noisy. I will be looking for something different next time. I'm willing to give up some performance for more smoothness and longer life.
