Infiniti vs. Weathertech Rubber Mats

Any opinions on winter floor mats for the G35? It seems like I can get the Infiniti OEM mats or the Weathertech rubber mats for roughly the same price (around $72-$80) -- It appears that the Infiniti mats may fit the vehicle better, but the Weathertech look heavier. Has anyone looked at both side-by-side? Are there any other high quality rubber mats that I am overlooking?

Costco has some rubber/channeled mats for about $20. Can't beat the price and they seem pretty durable. Color match may be off.

I can't speak for the weathertech mats as I have haven't seen them for the G. I do have the infiniti mats and they are good quality. The come with a logo molded on them and a hole for the mat hook.

Can anyone show pictures of them please? I'm interested in purchasing these. How well does the willow mats actually match the willow interior? Thanks!

I have the Infiniti carpet mats, then, I bought ExactMats, they are clear vinyl mats, that are cut to fit the car exactly, lets the color show through, and you know, they don't show the dirt too bad either, I took mine out to vacuum the first time, and was amazed how much stuff I wiped off.

Re: Infiniti vs. Weathertech Rubber Mats

Hi Turbofish,
I just purchased all weather mats from Weathertech, for both my Infiniti and my Acura. They are heavy duty, but the fit, in both, is terrible; the rear ones lay right over the front seat tracks, the front ones are way too wide. Go with the Infinitis. And WeatherTech, if you ever read this: take your "fits like OEM" claim off your website... it's simply not true.

I gotta agree with nw... Weathertech's are "Generic" mats, no matter what they say on their site. If you want them to be custom fit, you'll have to trim them yourself. Weak. Factory will fit better.

I believe they were $64 for front and rear, I think just the fronts were $38, I am very happy with these mats!

Re: Infiniti vs. Weathertech Rubber Mats

Thanks for the info. Sounds like a reasonable price. I'm in CA, not sure if they have a dealer here. I dropped them an email yesterday, hopefully they'll reply tomorrow with Tax + S&H.

Re: Infiniti vs. Weathertech Rubber Mats

I put in the Infiniti mats over the weekend. The fit is perfect (as you would expect). The mats are fairly heavy, and have deep ribbing, so it looks like they will hold a good bit of wet stuff. The color match seems pretty good (graphite interior).

My only complaint is that they don't have much of a raised "lip" around the edges -- my Volvo's old winter mats acted more like a tray, so stuff wouldn't slop over the edges onto the carpet.
