Well first, welcome to the form Sean! That is too bad about the chrome trim being dinged up....but like you said, it sounds like it could of been way worse.

Welcome, Sean, and sorry to hear of the hail damage to your G.
As you say tho, it could have been much worse.

Buy one of those portable Carports from Home Depot. I think they run like $200 for a 12'x'12'xsomething. Welcome to the forum.

Sorry to hear...consider yourself lucky...I've been hailed on 3 times in the last 2 months. The first time was softball sized hail that totalled my Accord. I then bought the g35 Sedan and got hailed couple weeks ago but it was only nickel sized and the last one was a couple days ago in a friend's car. I live in the Texas Panhandle and all three incidents happened when i was driving home from work/school on HWY 287.

Yeah, it's hard to find a non-hail damaged car in north Texas. The small stuff isn't so bad even if it's thick. It's the big stuff that can quickly kill a car. Once they smash out the windows and let the rain inside the electronics, it's done.

Thanks for the help with posting pictures.
The hail took out my back window as you can see in the picture and the front has a huge circular cracks where a big one hit. I didn't even know my back window was out until i felt glass/water. The road was littered with ice afterwards. Luckily my front window was still in one piece...so i drove 150 miles home without the back window. It was scary, the hail storm lasted a little over 5 minutes.
