will the 05 hood fit on an 04

 

I don't think so. I might be wrong though.

 

I think the front of the hood is slightly different, seems more arched than the '04.

Sadly, no it won't fit. Not without changing grill, bumper cover, and headlight assemblies anyways. Not sure about fenders.
The curvature of the headlight assembly is different. The first pic is my '04, and the red one is an '06.

 

^Wow, I never noticed the difference in the headlight, I know the '05 really looks somewhat different all around from the '04, but I never saw the headlight.

 

The 06 headlight sure does look meaner.

 

There was a guy that tried it and he said it looks like crap.
