The X and FX use totally different oem Y-pipes.

All G35 coupe, G35 sedan and 350Z oem Y-pipes are the same exact parts.

Not all oem aftermarket Y-pipes will make sense to add on since most all are designed for use with 80mm single piped aftermarket systems DOWNSTREAM. Tanabe's Y-pipe uses a 70mm outlet and Fujitsubo makes one to if you order one specifically for the G35 whereas the one ment for the Z has a 80mm outlet. Though on the whole I'm certainly not a fan of the oem Y-pipe.

Run a SEARCH, it has been discussed. The y-pipe only fits if you are using the right X pipe.

Now my freakin' head is spinning. I at least thought he would come back and clarify for all of us.

Dude, not for anything but you have to learn how to type out your thoughts and phrase your questions better. We already answered your question about the Y-PIPE!!! Read all the posts again if you missed it.

The SEDAN's exhaust system is comprised of HEADERS, CATS, Y-PIPE, MIDPIPE and rear EXHAUST. The idea of replacing any of those parts is to open it up more which = better flow which = faster acceleration. One of the most common set ups out there for the sedan is: Y-PIPE, COUPE MIDPIPE and HKS rear section. That will shave off a few pounds, improve performance and give you a nice deep sound.

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods

Motordyne XYZ with resonator module, MD resonated mid pipe, MD Sedan VQ muffler and the MD ART pipes is the best sedan exhaust out there but good luck finding one. I think the best relatively inexpensive exhaust available these days is the MD ART pipes, MD XZY with resonator, MD resonated mid pipe and Magnaflow muffler.

You could get into one of the ultra high-end titanium exhausts but now you're talking big $$.
