Question Wood

Hey guys,
Anyone have pics of an Infiniti, preferably a G35, with the "Birds Eye Maple" wood kit from the factory??

Thanks,
Audible

My car is sold, but I had the wood. This is really a matter of personal preference, but I really liked it and I thought it gave the car more class. Others will disagree, but I had lots of comments from folks that liked it while riding in the car.

Hard to explain, but it gave the interior a "warmer" feeling than the all metal and plastic stuff.......

Any interior pics? I agree, i had real wood in my Chrysler 300M Special and BMW Z-3 and loved it. I bought mine without the wood because of the good price, but intend to add the wood as soon as the "extra" cash is available. My father-in-law has the wood in his 06 Q45T and it looks sweet.

The '05-'06 isn't the birdseye maple, it's Rosewood, and it's in the console, and door handles, replaces the brushed aluminum, it's nice IMO.

If you are going to keep the car classy it looks good. If you are going to put big wheels on and lower it I would stay away.

Audible, I did find a pretty good pic of the interior showing the wood. I'm not good at the posting thing, but post or pm me an email address and I'll be glad to send it.

Your correct on the colors. Rosewood is nice, My 2001 Z-3 had rosewood. I just really love the contrasting colors of the Birds-Eye against the black leather/interior of the Infiniti's. The dealer said they would knock 10% off due to buying a car from them...

Audible, what year is your G? If it's an '05 or '06, the birdseye maple from the '04 won't fit the door handles if I'm not mistaken, they have a slightly different shape. I had the birdseye on my '04 with the graphite interior, and it does stand out very well.

Then you're in luck! There are some days I'd like to have the rosewood in my G, but I do like the real aluminum.
