Digital Speedo

The 350Z has a digital speedometer. I was wondering if the G does also.

The Coupes and Sedans have analog speedos.

Re: Digital Speedo

I wouldn't want digital. You don't get rate-of-change info from a digital readout.. the numbers just blur.

Re: Digital Speedo

I'm a fan of analog, as well... One thing I've noticed is that on our FX with tech, you can set the speed for cruise control digitally, and when I set it at "70", the analog speedo reads about 73 or so. Same happens with other speeds- the analog readout is slightly off from the digital speed setting. Makes me question the calibration...

Re: Digital Speedo

Yeah I know what you mean, but the 350Z has both. I would like both, but oh well.

Re: Digital Speedo

My analog speedo has always been exactly what the radar has said is was - you know on those radars signs on the highway.

Re: Digital Speedo

The problem with analog-only displays is that they make it more difficult to measure acceleration. The rate at which the numbers scroll is harder for the brain to interpret than the speed of a sweeping needle.

Re: Digital Speedo

. . . er, I meant digital-only rather than analog-only.

Re: Digital Speedo

my brother had a 280zx that had a digital one. as a passenger it was neat to see the numbers jump. as a driver, i don't think i'd want something like that.

you might want to get that checked. on our m45, it is exactly whatever the digital cruise speed readout is.

EDIT: On the same note, do you have an FX35 with the 20's. Could be because of that.
