you have to mess around with the display button to choose what u want it to read, title, and a few other things... ill have to check on my car and let you know. i have an '06 but im sure it is similar. it is one of the 4 circular buttons at the top of the radio area.

It is the display button...I think it says "DISP".

Press it in for 2+ seconds to toggle the display modes.

yeah just like to turn on public FM station names you have to hold the "DISP" down for 2 seconds. MP3 read outs are the same thing... hold "DISP" for 3 seconds and it'll show up as "disc title" hold it down again it'll show "track title" and then artist, file, etc etc....

Damn, I've had my car for a year, and didn't know you could do this on the CD, had it on the radio since I got XM in December.

Interesting... I wonder what it would do with non-English characters in file names or ID3 tags

I know for sure that it would still play MP3 disks like that but I did not get a chance to try the display feature.

I did that and its showing the song names, artist etc is there any way i can get to see the track title, artist and movie name at the same time , what i mean is that in other cars i see the display moving around showing all the things but in the G its pretty stagnant and i need to click DISP to see other options

No, as far as I know, it doesn't, isn't a "crawl" a bit distracting? That might be a nice feature though.
