its not just HP. let it be faster than the IS then I will be happy with the new G (I wouldn't get one no matter what).

dont worry about it the new sedan is about 150 pounds heavier...meaning the coupe will be even heavier than that. You wont have a problem beating the new sedan or coupe when it comes out until they bump up the HP to beat other companies in a year or two. Right now im sure the old and new model G35s will be the same in acceleration and all that.

They could rate it at 3hp for all I care. As long as it runs 13.8s stock in the auto form, it's fine by me. Seeing that the engine now has a 7500rpm redline and one hightech intake manifold, I'm assuming the overall powerband will be quite enjoyable.

It's funny to see the standard at which folks measure the infiniti.

I guess BMW rules, which oh BTW continues to have less power than our G but still gets way better ratings. I still love my G35

Only 306 - like that's a bad thing. That still a rock solid number under the new ratings for a 3.5 V6. It would be cool to have another engine option with more power, though.

I think you guys are forgetting the most important number....0-60, 0-100, 1/4. Doesn't matter how much HP the car is rated if its still slower than the IS350.

BMW is debuting the 335(x)i sedan this year.. if it's anything like the coupe it'll be 300 hp/300 lbs torque... let's see if the 306 hp can compete with that...

For sure, I mean, look at the Mustang GT with a 4.6 V8 is 300hp.
