Moving! Need shipper/freighter info for the G

Im moving to ATL and I have a couple cars to ship, but the prices im seeing initially are crazy. $1200-1800 (each)...
Has anybody shipped their G long distance? What should I look for in a company? If anybody knows of a shipper they would recommend it'd be much appreciated. I aint trying to pay out the ***, but I still want my babies to be well taken care of, ya know?

You'd do better selling the car and buying in Atlanta because the market for G35s is saturated. You'll be able find plenty of Gs there. I have a friend that does vehicle shipping in Kansas City and he goes all over the nation shuttling primarily high end imports and musclecars. He usually gets $800-2000 depending on mileage and car. Mileage is the kicker.

As for Atlanta, I spent 6 months there and got the hell out I JUST moved back to Kansas City today. I travel a lot to LA and I can tell you the traffic in ATL is worse. The highways are really bad in ATL and LA, but the problem with ATL is most of the main roads are only two lane. In LA most all of the roads are 4 to 6 lane and in ATL most of the main roads are 2 lane. Apparently there was no planning for infrastructure because all the subdivisions funnel out onto these roads. Rush hour is from 6am to 10am and 3pm to 7pm. It's nuts. I lived in Alpharetta and my office was 12 mile away at GA400 and close to I-285 about 10 miles north from the heart of ATL. When the school is in session, it took me 40-50 minutes to get to work if I left at 645am. It took me about 50-60 minutes to get home if I left at 4pm. When school is out of session, it seemed to cut out about 10-15 minutes. Apparently everyone drives thier kid to school. It was just too damn stressful to deal with, day in and day out. Since you're from LA you'll probably fair a lot better than me. Thanks God the housing market in ATL is like LA. I made $12K on my house in 6 months and covered all my realtor costs.

Where in ATL will you be working and where will you be living.

Give me the total length of all the cars you need to move....i may be able to get you a decent deal on a flatbed or a van that can haul all of them in one

Definitely bring the GSXR and invest in excellent tires made for rain and quality riding gear. Bikes are premitted in the HOV lane which means you can get through town a bit quicker. If you can handle riding a bike in LA, then you should be fine in ATL.

Are you going to be living in Midtown/Buckhead till the house gets built or are you working in Midtown/Buckhead?

I came to the realization that if I was going to change my job in Atlanta, I'd need to move because adding 10-15 miles to my commute could potentially add another 1 hour in travel time for the day. Hopefully your company has flex time and hopefully you don't have kids. I have a 20 month old son and I hated the fact that I wasted so much time commuting when I could be seeing him. I also fly about once a week and getting to the airport (busiest in the world now) was a 3 hour ordeal from my house to the plane's gate. The thing you'll learn about ATL is that you never know how long it's going to take you to get to where you're going. Right before I moved, the news was bragging about how Atlantan's spend more time/money on their commute than any other city in the US.

Ill be living in MT. A lot of the guys from out here have been buying property in ATL lately so I basically spent about a week out of every month out there piggybacking deals since october 05. Im still learning my way around its pretty ill, theres like 10 of evry street out there and no left turn lanes Ive seen a few cats on bikes doing their thing so I guess ill be alright...Theres also a million G's out there!! But Im gonna miss the l.a. meets
