Yes you need a new A/C control too. The stock unit is one big circuit board. The two I have done did not need the iso mount but we got it anyway to be safe.

What are you really interested in? Performance? Handling? Looks? Luxury? Dependability? Put smiles on your face? Then get the G35. Get the RWD. If you are worried about snow, get some good snow tires like Blizzaks.
In 2003, my wife, son and I went out for a test drive at our local Infiniti dealership. I was impressed by the smoothness, the feel of the steering, the solidness of the car and of course the looks.
While test driving, a guy and his gal friend in a new BMW 330i were in front of us as we went around a curve to enter a major road. The guy in the BMW hit his brakes hard to be a jerk, then accelerated away. I had not been tailgating this guy, only following him at a safe distance.
I immediately nailed the G and to my utter surprise, caught up to the BMW and passed him! You should have the seen the necks of the woman and driver as we went sailing by. I told my wife, "I have to get this car". Oh BTW, the sound of the motor was such sweet music. When the motor ramps up, it sounds wicked.
After I had bought the car, one time a supercharged Pontiac Grand Prix GXP tailgated me as I was coming home. It had tinted windows and different wheels, and I assumed he wanted to play with me. He shot into the next lane. I decided to "pass him". I blew by him so fast that when we got to the light, he said, "Wow, what is in that thing?" He asked if I would get on the car so that he and his friends could hear the motor. I did so and got a big thumbs up.
All of that was with a stock car. Now I have a Stillen CAI, z tube, Kinetix SSV intake manifold, and HKS DLI II ignition system. You should hear the G wail now. The sound is utterly fantastic. The car is considerably faster as well and gets about 4 miles per gallon better on the freeway.
Get the G. Join the legions of people here on this forum who have smiles on their faces all the time. If you should decide to sell your G for a newer one, remember that the G has great resale value. There is so much in the aftermarket for the G, your head will spin as will your wallet. You won't see that for any Lexus model. Come on, take the plunge. Jump in. The water's fine!

you can turn off AWD in the G35x but either way you will get bad MPG.
RWD and snow tires will have just as much traction as a G35x with All seasons.
RWD is a good buy, AWD is great too but only if you can afford the MPG and the extra price of the AWD system (and its maintenance)
