Why so strong when first started?
I have 03 5AT sedan and am in (hot and humid) texas..
When I first start the car when it is "cold", it pulls *really* strong, until the car warms up...(3-5mins) then it is *much* less torqey (not as strong below 4,000).
I can understand that it is partially related to intake air temp, and am guessing that it is something to do with the inital ECU mapping. Does anyone know what the ECU mapping is like on cold start (timing advance, A/F ratio...??) and whether this can be applied once the car warms up?
Would be really nice if the car stayed like that once it was warmed up.

hahah why i read your thread name I just cant help but imagining an old asian lady trying to flirt with you and saying "why so strong~~~~" while touching your arm. AHAHAHA i need entertainment at work,
Don't drive your car hard until it has time for the oil to warm up!
Are you sure it is the car and not you getting used to the torque? It will slow down some when the engine heat-soaks but if you are driving around it should be getting enough air to stay cool.
