Too many variations in well water to answer. I wouldn`t use mine-too many minerals. Some are better than some municiple systems.

Thumbs up

yeah it will leave you some killer spots in the sun but the water shouldnt sit on ur car for too long anyway so you should be fine....i dont let anyone wash or attempt to clean my car (especially at the dealer) so i dont really have much of a choice considering my community water is used from a well we have unless you want to hook a hose up to ur 5 gallon culligan tank ill think you'll be aiiiighT

I don`t know how that Culligan system works, but don`t they use salt in some way to soften the water? Doesn`t sound too compatible with car washing!

I tried to wash my OB once. Never again! Spots, spots and more spots. I couldn't get drop the hose and pick up the towel fast enough (garden hose, that is . The salt and minerals suck!

Mine has had almost NOTHING but well water. However, mine is VERY soft water. I would not have used my old well, because it had salt and Hydrogen Sulfide gas, it rotted and rusted everyting. My new well is fine.

You are correct, the mineral ions in the water are replaced with a salt ion. Some Doctors say not to drink it if you have high blooid pressure.
