The G35 was a driver’s education vehicle this weekend.

I’m having knee surgery in a few weeks so I will be driving my g/f TL and she will drive my car. Problem is she has never driven a standard transmission before.

We started out in a school parking lot so that she wouldn’t #1 have to worry about traffic and #2 wouldn’t hurt my car!

She did well but damn we have some work to do. I think we will go run errands next weekend and take mine so she can get some practice with me in the car. I’ll be a nervous wreck when she is driving my car and I am not with her.

Thanks. She really did well and I was proud of her for that. She was/is very nervous about driving my car. It's lowered and doesn't have a scratch or ding on it!

But the way she driver her TL... she's gonna LOVE the G once she gets the hang of the 6spd... lol.

Hope you don't scream when/if your gf dings up your car since your putting her into the driver's seat. I let my gf drive my car around that are short distances but thats about it. Ever since I installed the z-tube, she fell in love with the car

Well she takes such good care of her car (she is like me when it comes to that) I would never worry about where she parks, how she parks and how she drives.

If something were to happen I would know it was an accident and would be too upset with her.

She must learn how to start on an upward sloping hill. That is a real hard thing (to me) in a manual.

Yes. That is the next scheduled class

First things first... getting the hang of the clutch and how to modulate the throttle and clutch together. Then once she can get that down, we'll work on the hills

your going to have to teach her how to spin the rear tires while still breaking the car, to get some nice heat and traction going when she starts racing people off the line. lol. Good luck with her driving your G. I used to let my ex drive my STi and she did alright, she thought it was such a great thing when I let her drive it away with out me in it.
