oem 18 wheels+tire combo
Getting the 05+ 18" sport wheels real soon. I am assuming they are 18x8s all around? What tire size set up would you recommend on the rims. I was thinking 245/45/18 rear and 235/45/18 in the front. Is there an advantage in handling on stagger tire set up. Also would it be good just to go 245/45/18 on all 4? I have z springs sitting in the garage so that will definitely be a plan in the near future. Sorry guys, I tried searching and all it comes up with are "18 year old sedan drivers" and not "18 inch sedan rims" LOL
The sport wheels are 18"x7.5" and the OEM tire size is 235/45/18. I wouldn't do the 255/45/18 and 235/45/18 setup, it's next to impossible to maintain the same diameter in the front and rears. I would just go with one size all around.
*EDIT*
Opps, i read the wrong numbers. But as for you posted setup, it would work, but at the same time you can just put 245/45/18 on all fours since your running the same size rim.

iron pirate or anyone else with stock 18 rim and tire willing to take a picture of their car from behind where tire width is very visible so I can see how wide they look from behind?

Here you go. The Avon 245's fit into the 7.5 rims fine, don't worry about it. However, if you plan to lower it with z springs, you should go with 245/40/18 or 235/45/18. 245/45 profile is a bit taller and wider than oem. I went with 45 series to close the fender gap. Then my car was dropped with z springs afterward and there was barely any gap in the rear (possibly rubbing). Go with 245/45 if you don't plan to drop it but if you do go with 235/45 or 245/40 (in my opinion).

This was taken right after the unrevised z_spring install, please excuse the quality.
Not directly behind, but enough to show the wheel-to-fender clearance. I personally wouldn't do the 245/45, but 245/40 instead. Both is still within the 3%, but the less sidewall will sharpen up your handling a little more. That and 245/40 is more common size = more tire option. Stock Turanza for now. but looking forward to RE-01R or ADVAN sport for replacement.
If you're worry about the look of the width from behind, then go aftermarket wheel w/275s.

sorry to announce, althought that craiglist listing was a super duper deal, i contacted the seller wanting to buy and it has been sold..:'( The deal was just too good to pass up for people i guess.
It's so frustrating because I want a set of 18X8 rims for my car, but the tire choices are just too damn confusing especially considering that I need all season tires. The rims I want are at the Tirerack, but they recommend a 225/45R18 which is 25.9" tall on a 7.5" wide rim. Seeing that the OEM diameter is 26.3" and the rims I want are 18s, that means that 25.9" diameter will be pulled down to 25.7-25.8". I don't want to increase the gaps because I like that way the car looks with the z/coupe springs. The 245/45R18s seems like the logical choice, but now people say there are rubbing issues. 245/40s seem like an option, but after speaking to Trey, he said his 245/40R18s look like crap because the gaps increased quite a bit. A 235/45 is the ideal setup, but of course only crappy RS-As are offered and nothing else.

im going with 245/45/18 with either a z drop or coupe drop...i like the beefy tire look and also ride comfort is more important to me than handling...
