doesn't bug me at all. I actually don't like the Audi red at all. I loved the turqoise bluish color of my Mustang better.

I almost let the amber interior scare me off of the G. I’m glad that it didn’t, and although I’ve gotten used to the amber, I would like my interior much better if it was blue. I would probably pay to change it if Infiniti provided that service (and fixed any resulting rattles).

Re: Who likes the orange int. lighting?
I would have prefered a much softer color also. And the Audi red is not one of them.
I think maybe it has something to do with cutting costs since the g35/m45/q45 all have this orange color.
I would have loved a white with a subtle blue tinge.

I orange is OK, I don't even notice it now. I would love the colors/style of the new Acura TSX/TL. Awesome!

The orange is fine for me. Maybe having come from a BMW, which also has somewhat orange lights, I was used to it.
The problem I have with the G is that the guages are dependant on illumination in the daytime to be seen. If you get in bright sun light, you cannot read them. Never encountered that on the BMW!

Re: Who likes the orange int. lighting?
Orange is the best color for maximizing clarity while simultaneously minimizing night vision loss due to retina-retained image brightness. Red can be better for less night vision loss, but it's not nearly as bright. When you get equal lumens from red and orange light sources, the red is so bright that its retained image lasts considerably longer than orange.
That said, I still don't care much for orange. Red would have been better.

I like the orange just fine......It goes Great with the Graphite interior...looks pretty hi-tech/sporty against all that black to me. Especially if you have the Navi with all it's additional buttons. ; )
Re: Who likes the orange int. lighting?
I've grown to kinda like the orange. I'll admit it was the one thing I would change about the car when I bought it.
Here's a color no one else has thrown out: yellow. The G35 Sedan brochure shows the dash in yellow, and I think it looks better. I actually asked the salesman if the color was an option but he said the picture was probably taken incorrectly. If you still have your brochure, take a look at the yellow and see what you think.
I definitely would not want a very bright yellow, but the contrast would be so high against black you wouldn't need it to be very bright.

All the lights are kind of intimidating in the console area. A few passengers have commented after riding at night.
Not as noticable for the driver, since you are watching the road.

Re: Who likes the orange int. lighting?
It is a pain when the sunroof is open and the light shines so bright that you can't even see the display on the temp guages and radio display. Besides that, it's grown on me but I would still prefer the I35 interior dash lighting over the G35's.

It's still a G thang!!

Re: Who likes the orange int. lighting?
I personally am not a huge fan of the BMW and Audi red lighted interiors. The G35's orange interior is better than I was expecting, but I would still prefer the blue/white look of the Acura TSX/TL. Those are awesome gauges!
Re: Who likes the orange int. lighting?
Not a big fan. Hard to see in sunlight and when lights go on at dusk. The worst though, is the big orange odometer background that sits in the dash at almost exactly the same position the big orange computer information display occupies on my Yukon XL dash. Took weeks for my eyes to stop subconciously moving to the odometer when I caught sight of it in my peripheral vision.
