Advice needed: Rear 19X9.5 +42 tire size

Hi everyone,

I am getting a set of Volks, 19X9.5 +42 wheels in the rear. Currently my car is lowered on REVISED 350z springs & struts. I have read that 275/35-19 tires will rub without rolled fenders, so should I get:

1. 275/30-19 (will I rub with without rolling my fenders?)

2. 265/35-19 (the only problem is that this is not a popular tire size)

Also, any brand tires have rounded sidewalls that might help?

Thanks in advance everyone! I will post pics once put on the new wheels.

if they rub, just roll your fenders. if your getting ur volks brand new, have the shop roll your fenders for you.

You will rub with 275's. Just roll your fenders. It is worth it and not hard to do.

But yes, a 9.5 +42 with a 275 will fit but you should roll your fenders to be safe.

You can take the risk and see if they rub but if they hit hard and crack your paint you are going to kick yourself!

I have 40mm offset in the rear with 275/30/19. Never rubbed yet. So with 42mm offset you should be golden. I went with the Dunlop Durenza's. They give you more clearance because it has a more rounded profile than most tires.

Hey cloudy6mt, maybe listen to everyone but this guy. You might rub depending on your tires. Its worth rolling your fenders if they do rub, I rolled mine and have no problems now. I have a 45+ offset with 275/35/19 and rubbed about 1/16 on my fender.
