I just took back my loaner to the dealer from not getting a recall done on my car(lol) but I had a 06 sedan 5MT and when you put into the manual position it goes into whatever is the next lower gear and at a stop when you put it in gear it goes to first. Also if you are in manual mode and are stopping it will automatically downshift. How do I make mine do this right now no matter what stoped or going if I put it into manual it goes to 4th. I hate that ****! Does anyone know how to fix it.

Not sure, if anyone knows of any TCU update that can fix that, I have the same gripe. I was told that the coupes tranny functions the same way as the 06 sedan.

I think it is just a difference in the transmission software. I have not heard of anyone making the change. Ask this in the engine/drivetrain section.

it's not possible. on the 03 at least MM is a gear limiter so it will always enter in 4th
