Because mine has been fine with the regular maintenance.
Qiuck question-- how long did your belts last in terms of miles? Tire-wise, I'm getting about 50K miles on Khumo's.

I'm at 145k now. As far as belts go, it will vary depending on the environment. I'd just check them a couple times a year, see if there are any cracks. No cracks, leave em. Just my 2 cents.

Not to burst anyone's bubble, but 20-80k is not considered "high mileage".....
Maybe we should start a new thread that asks, "Who are the pansies that don't drive their $hit?" or "Who's is rotting in place faster?". Then some of you guys will have a legitimate thread to chime in on.

"Relax max" your only 3 posts into the forum....most threads are like watching a kid with ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder)- they start in one spot, meander all over the place covering 20 topics and eventually die down. This thread is classic in this regard.

I'm always relaxed. 110/70 and 65bpm..... I'm just trying to keep my posts to 1 a month... you're over there throwing down 2 a day. Moderation Man!
Good job defining the acronym, it probably saved you a post to explain it.

+1 I have more mileage than that and have no need to tell people the year of my car and my mileage...as I'm lower than many of the PERTINENT posts above!

^ +1 yup, exactly. this thread has become pointless. like i mentioned before, it has become "any mileage on here" instead of "highest mileage on here" which is completely irrelevant. the thread title couldn't be any simpler to understand...but maybe i'm wrong there.

^+3- Sure has become pointless (and you're both 100% right) like many threads here! You'd think everyone understood the title and point of the thread. But then again, most male conversations, if you listen carefully, wander from topic to topic like a word salad. Somehow, everyone survives. Just move on to another thread, maybe one where the discussion is focused, centered, and on topic from start to finish. I just did a random sample of 5 threads and sure enough, everyone strayed at some point. One thread went from oil issues to hotties and guys trying to pick up one of the female members of the forum. The Rolls Royce forum, I hear, is very focused! lol

I have an 03 and just reached 140k. Still runs like a champ with the exception of a couple issues - air bag light came on, cd err, window regulator, and a/c doesn't blow cold air. Aside from that, I'm still happy with it.
