First one snapped the crank in half. Had a bad motor mount, it lifted hit the hood landed and snapped in half internally

@Eric@TCGMiami So this thread has a lot of potential for data, long-term what kind of issues have you had beyond all the normal 200k mile issues.

We know that EVERY bushing will need replaced, motor, u-joints, driveaxles, etc. What are some of the odd things that have failed and at roughly what mileage did they actually fail.

Specifically any of the REALLY odd things, like glove box hinges, trunk manual release, door hinges, etc. Any info you can share will be invaluable for the future as everyone catches up to you.

The Dog Bones

I hate those bastards!!

I want to say every 50k i change them.

Now im getting stupid quirks, foot pedal sensor went out the other day.

But How about this when I have an opportunity later Tomorrow I will give a full analysis's of just about everything for the most part I have changed out everything and replaced it with the either a higher performance part or I have custom made something to enhance it.

My 2005 sedan has half that mileage

Hood latch broke off 100K
left rear mount for sway bar broke 130K
dash is all cracked 100K
passenger seat has rip, don't remember when.
sun roof leaks still
started using oil at 100K

Swapped out the Rohana's for the GTR stocks.

GoodYear Eagle Sports
Front 245-35-20
Rear 255-35-20

Ran 275-30-20 in the rear but did not like the ride quality. So to stay within the aspect ratio I lowered the width a bit. The tubs are wide so they slightly stretch the tires.

Front wheels needed a 5mm spacer to clear the spindle arm. With about 1mm of clearence.

The car to this date consumes oil, i guess its because the 2005's had this issue. Back at 179k i swapped out the 03 vq35 for the 05, as I exploded the crank... still havent opened that motor to figure out how it happened.

Does not burn oil, or drip... just dissapears 🙄.

Car performs very well.
Low 14s high 13's @ 96 to 99mph depending on conditions / launch etc..

Quirks:
Seat electronics starting to give out
steering rack appears to have a bad tie rod.. has a slight thump at low speed turns.
time to change headlamps

Heat isnt working great... has to be at 90° to give heat, but if you try to blend it to say 80 it comes out cold. No air in the system, just weird!

So, took the car to The Alignment Factory here in South Florida...

Camber Bushings Shot off 🙈..

Called Kinetix ordered a new set.

Direly looking for a rear wrecked g37... looking to make a mega transplant, and twin turbo or single turbo the old lady.

Meanwhile, i'll keep posting mileage and issues.

Wish this would allow to reduce image sizes..

Tried to post the photo, the bushings looked like cookie monster ate through them.

Considered going with the spherical but holding off as I am contemplating obtaining a G37 and swapping everything needed out to make it work.

Might need some input from TTRANK as well 🤠
