removing this ??

does anyone know how to remove this. it is the wire connects to the ballast and is covered by the orange tubing? thanks.

its attached to the housing with a rubber grommet. inside the housing its attached to the ignitor, which is then attached to the d2r bulb.

In order to take the wiring out you have to separate the lens and take everything apart.

i didnt take it off, as long you keep the oven at 200 degrees i doubt it would be a problem....

oh ok thanks for the replies. i might just use a heating gun just to be safe.

I have had mine in the oven twice with them and no problems. The first time for my halos and the second time for the projector retrofit. They seem to do just fine.

oh ok thanks ttrank. so did you take out the ballasts/bulbs/most of the wiring? or did you just cut those wires and reattach them lateR?

dont cut the wires!! just take out the bulbs/balast
