Downside of bucket seats

This morning, I dropped my key and fob down between the seat and console in my 2004 AT.

Turned out to be VERY difficult to get out.

In the process, which also involved a ruler, I ended up destroying the heavy duty Infiniti keyring, and damaged the key fob. Half the plastic clip on the fob broke when I damaged it moving the seat forward to get room to work under the seat.

I need to find a replacement at some point. I don't know how well the other half of the fob ring will hold up. Google found one site advertising $45. Grubbs advertised $105.

I know what you mean I dropped a 1200 dollar check to be deposited in that space while i was going to put it in that tube that shoots into the bank. It was a pain in the *** trying to get it and had a line of cars behind me waiting. Hurt my hand ;( hah It was funny seeing myself scramble to get it out.

A true test of tolerance indeed. I have had to dive in that crack three or four times already and rue the day that I have to go in again. The seat controls really should be on the outter part of the seat.

That phone is too big for me. There are some real nice Sony Ericssons out there.

Well I wouldn't use this to fish out my RAZR, however, I will use it to fish out just about anything else that drops down into the "Crack of despair"!
