On the windshield or the dashboard

I bought a new Nuvi 350 and first used the dashboard but it kept coming off. Is windshield a better place

I have the same model and I also have a 6mt. The design of the cup holders in the 6mt is perfect to fit the nuvi into. Just open the antenna and stick it in one of the cup holders and it still works great. For those times when you actually need to look at the damn thing, just suction cup it to the windshield and remove it when you're done.

I mount the Nuvi in the box where the stock nav would go. It works out well and it removes easily.

Here is the original thread with some pix:

I have an Alpine nav that fits where stock one would have like it belonged there.Alpine has more than one for the Infiniti(yes you have choices!Infiniti has 1). Mine is model #NVE871A.I well try and post some pics for you tomorrow(girlfriend has the digital camera).

I've had the suction cup come loose sometimes, but not often.

See my post up higher in the thread about where to put the little mounting disk inside the box. It's a clean way to do it and it keeps it out of the windshield view.
