Trying to sell my G and have no luck....

I need some help. I listed my G on here, my350z forum and maxima forum. I also posted on cars.com and will be listed on ebay. I have not had one call or email response. I think it is priced fairly, considering the condition and mileage. I have checked the blue book too. Any suggestions on selling my car? I don't want to give it away, so I would need at least $25k or I will keep it. See the link below.

Thanks,

Weaver

Not sure on the price, but I know alot of older buyers don't like to buy cars with "mods" on them. If you have the OEM parts, I suggest putting them back on the car, and selling the "upgrades".

I'd bring it back to stock first and foremost... selling a car with mods almost never works even if it is only wheels and suspension as you have done.

As for the price, it's not bad, but with the 2007 model being redesigned, the resale on the gen1 G35 is going to go down...

I think his car is Gen 3 of the G35's.

2003 being 1st
2003.5-2004 being 2nd gen
and 2005-2006 being 3rd gen.
The 2007 will be 4th generation. Am I wrong?

I guess it all depends on how you think about it... The models up until now all have minor revisions... not enough to constitute a new generation of a car... IMO, the 2007 will be a gen2, while everything up until now has been gen1 of the G35 with different revisions...

Well if you look at the maximas, even minor revisions were considered as generations. Basically, if you can't fit certain parts from one to another, it should be called a dif gen.

I def see 2003-04 and 05-06 as dif generations.

I agree.

Nice car. I would have issues buying a former rental car. Why are you selling? I would not list the repair quote. Just be honest and say the bumper has some scratches. Did you chrome the wheels?

Even with the maxima, the 2000 - 2001 have the VQ30DE-k engine while the 2002 - 2003 have the VQ35DE... they are considered the same generation (gen5/gen5.5) even though they are completely different in terms of their guts... same thing is true for the 3rd gen maxima... half of that gen had the VE30 engine and the eariler ones had the VG30... Nissan does this all the time with many of their models being given minor body or even major engine revs while maintaining the same chassis designation...

sorry man...imo, i think $25k for a 30k miles G sedan with your options and messed up rear bumper is a lil too steep...i rather go buy a new one for a shade under $30k...

I am looking to buy a bigger house and need the extra money for the downpayment. I had the wheels chrome plated as they were original finish wheels. I may not list the repair quote when I post on ebay.

Thanks,

Weaver

The bumper is not messed up. If you saw the car, you could not even tell, but if I pointed it out, you could. $25 is the low side of the blue book value, not including the mods...i know, i know, can't include mods, but I am anyway. To buy a new one is stupid as the car depreciates the minute it is off the lot. I have bought a new car and will never again, unless I have money to burn.

Like I said, if I can't get $25K, I will fix it and keep it.

with the miles on the car it'd be difficult to try and get the $$ you ask for.

Then I must have gotten robbed. I paid $27 last December.

I will look into taking the mods off and selling them and then selling the car. I prefer to have the money since I want to buy a bigger house.

Thanks,

Weaver
